MRO Buyer (Procurement Specialist - Maintenance & Technical Services)

About the Role

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist with experience sourcing, negotiating, and managing service contracts that support plant or manufacturing operations. In this role, you will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and Project teams to ensure reliable service delivery, cost savings, and strong supplier performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and manage external service providers for plant operations.
  • Lead contract negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Manage Statements of Work (SOWs), service agreements, and supplier relationships.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure service quality standards are met.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support operational and maintenance requirements.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance standards.


Experience Needed

Candidates should have procurement experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Maintenance contractors
  • Equipment repair and maintenance services
  • Calibration and testing services
  • Facility management and utility services
  • Reliability engineering or specialized technical services
  • Turnaround, shutdown, or outage support vendors


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
