Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a proven, collaborative Procurement Operations Specialist to manage inventory across our network and reliably own pricing execution within the organization.


Inventory Management

The Specialist independently manages day-to-day inventory maintenance and logistical decision-making, and helps develop and achieve Inventory Management excellence (Ready-to-Ship & Days on Hand) and Strategic Inventory Planning goals. The role also facilitates vendor operational relationships, proactively identifying and implementing logistical efficiencies.


Pricing

The Specialist executes pricing strategy set by the Merchant team to maintain market positioning against Operating Margin dollar goals, and monitors item and category sales for external triggers that signal when pricing strategy needs re-evaluation. The Specialist partners directly with Merchants during negotiations, weighing operational efficiency against Operating Margin impact, and helps identify and implement Cost-to-Serve initiatives.


This position is full-time and located in Lancaster, PA, but is hybrid-friendly for those within a 1-hour driving radius.


Procurement Operation Specialists serve Clark’s procurement division, which buys products for our various distribution channels (industry leading Ecommerce platform WebstaurantStore.com, The Restaurant Stores, Clark National Accounts, Clark Food Service Equipment, and 11400, Inc.)

Responsibilities
  • Helps develop & achieve inventory management & strategic inventory planning goals
  • Independently manages daily inventory maintenance & is responsible for day-to-day decision making
  • Lead the execution of pricing strategies aligned with organizational goals for revnue, margin, and growth objections.
  • Act as a laison between cross-functional teams to steamline pricing initiatives and promotional strategies.
  • Monitors market pricing and implements price changes to maintain price strategy within profitability goals
  • Collaborate with merchant team during negotiations to assess tradeoffs between product cost and operational efficiency
  • Helps identify and implement initiatives to optimize our cost-to-serve in coordination with merchant teams
  • Facilitates daily vendor relationship management and logistical alignment
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Remote Work Qualifications
  • Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
  • Access to a home router and modem.
  • A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
  • A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
  • The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.

Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in pricing, procurement, finance, or analytics
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic and complex problems independently. 
  • Understanding of supply chain or procurement functions and how day-to-day decisions impact inventory and fulfillment performance. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general familiarity with reporting tools; ability to learn and navigate internal systems and databases.

  • Mastery of analytics and data-driven decision making, familiarity with pricing tools, ERP systems, or business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI)
  • Business Proficiency in English is required
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Experience in procurement operations, category management, or merchandising role.
  • Understanding of pricing strategies and margin optimization techniques
