FutureFuelChemical Company in Batesville, Arkansas, is looking for a manager for our ProcurementTeam.

About The Position

The Procurement Manager will oversee the end-to-endsupply chain process for direct chemicals (excluding biodiesel feedstocks) andindirect materials, combining strategic procurement with efficient interactionof plant personnel. This role is responsible for sourcing ~$130M in high-qualitymaterials (both chemicals and indirects), supplies, and energy, negotiatingcost-effective supplier contracts. The ideal candidate ensures that materialsarrive on time, within budget, and in full compliance with industry standardsto support our ongoing business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • ProcurementStrategy: Design and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies tosecure raw materials, goods, or services at competitive market rates.
  • VendorManagement: Source, evaluate, and build long-term relationships withglobal and domestic suppliers using objective performance scorecards.
  • ContractNegotiation: Lead complex contract negotiations regarding pricing,credit terms, lead times, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Inventory:Monitor warehouse stock levels using ERP/MRP systems to optimize inventorybalances with plant personnel.
  • CostOptimization: Analyze supply chain data and financial metrics toidentify bottleneck exceptions and implement transportation cost-savinginitiatives.
  • TeamLeadership: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance ofpurchasing technologists.
