Procurement & Business Operations Intern โ€“ K-Beauty Division


About H ART

H ART is the dedicated K-Beauty brand launched by H Mart Manhattan, offering a curated selection of premium Korean beauty brands. We are rapidly expanding across Manhattan through both physical stores and online channels, focusing on delivering trend-driven, innovative beauty experiences.

As part of a fast-growing team, you will work exclusively on H ARTโ€™s business operations. This position is part of the Merchandising team and will closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify new product opportunities, trends, and competitive offerings aligned with brand strategy.
  • Assist in the overall purchasing process, including, but not limited to, listing products, contacting vendors, tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Assist in coordinating with vendors to resolve issues related to order discrepancies, damages, returns, or delays.
  • Monitor the inventory levels and assist in analyzing product performance to support data-driven purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain and update internal systems with accurate product, order, and vendor information.
  • Collaborate with other teams to support product launches and in-store performance.
  • Assist in improving operational processes and identifying efficiencies across procurement and business operations workflows.


Qualifications

  • Strong interest in K-Beauty trends, products, and brands.
  • Fluent in both Korean and English is required
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proactive communicator with good cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Candidates with a valid visa who can work legally in the U.S.


Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position based in New York, with a standard Mondayโ€“Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Although this role is based in a general office setting, this role will regularly visit physical stores across Manhattan to conduct product checks, review merchandising, assess inventory levels, and stay connected to real-time customer trends.


Compensation

The starting pay rate for this position is $19โ€“$22/hr, depending on experience, skill level, and other job-related factors.
