You'll Be Responsible For:
- Managing key assignments, manage contracts and cost, and provide strategic direction to meet client expectations.
- Upholding ethical, commercially sound operations, driving netzero commitments and holding others accountable to Mace values.
- Inspiring excellence through strong leadership, promoting innovation, best practice and continuous improvement across teams.
- Directing contract administration, cost control and valuation activities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance throughout delivery.
- Managing postcontract processes, including claims evaluation, completion certifications and final account agreements.
- Providing leadership to Cost Consultants and managers, driving performance, development and continuous improvement.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships while supporting Mace's netzero commitments across project delivery.
- Accountable for the preparation of contract documents, warranties, bonds and licenses and assist formal execution by the appropriate parties.
- Advises on administration of the terms of the construction works or services contracts.
- Measures and provides valuations of the work carried out and adjust variations in accordance with the terms of the contract to agree with the contractor.
- Ensures adequate cost control and reporting services during the contract.
- Supervises the production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client.
- Identifies costs associated with design changes, contract awards, construction activities and client charges.
- Oversees and engages in the evaluation of claims for delay and additional costs made by the contractor and any nominated subcontractors/suppliers.
- Advises on the issuing of certificates of practical completion and ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
- Advises on issue of certificate of making good defects and final completion in accordance with any requirements relating to completion, submissions and approvals.
- Manages Cost Consultant, providing guidance, direction and coaching and performance management.
Delivers improvements in systems and processes, driving transformational change.
- Provides performance management, technical development and coaching.
Identifies and implements continuous improvement plans/identifies key business improvements. - Develops & maintains a series of both internal and external relationships.
Manages & influences Key/Senior stakeholders. - Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You'll need to have:
Degree in quantity surveying or cost management, with professional membership or progression.
Strong commercial acumen with knowledge of value engineering, lifecycle costing and contractual frameworks.
A degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
Detailed knowledge in most forms of contracts.
Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
Proficient knowledge and expertise in specific sector/ market of project/role.
Relevant technical qualification/certification for project portfolio/s.
Knowledge of contractual frameworks relating to construction.
Sound knowledge and ability to undertake and advise on Contract Administration and Contract Management.
Note: The estimated salary for this position is 115,000 USD. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
