Responsibilities
  • Prepare, process, and track purchase orders using the company ERP system, maintaining accurate order settings and supporting demand forecasting.
  • Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery schedules; maintain up-to-date vendor records and performance data.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to anticipate and fulfill reorder needs.
  • Coordinate inbound freight and logistics by selecting and scheduling carriers, resolving assignment issues, and ensuring contracted carriers are used as required.
  • Support procurement of food-grade ingredients and packaging materials, including conducting supplier comparisons and researching cost-saving opportunities.
  • Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices; work with accounting to resolve discrepancies.
  • Track order status and proactively follow up on delayed or backordered shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist with supplier quality management by documenting corrective actions, tracking root-cause analyses, and monitoring incoming quality metrics.
  • Support contract administration, including renewal tracking and basic terms review, and prepare procurement reports and analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and applicable food safety or regulatory sourcing requirements.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP or procurement software (such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) preferred.
