Job Description:

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Procurement Administrator to work in the Procurement Division located at our Headquarters facility in Millersville, MD. This position requires full performance level of work procuring equipment, services, construction, supplies information technology and other needs through the competitive or negotiated procurement process.
Procurement Administrators are responsible for soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, and awarding contracts in accordance with applicable procurement laws, regulations, and agency policies. While this position does not directly supervise Procurement Specialists, it may provide guidance and direction to agency procurement associates and support staff. The Procurement Administrator reports to and receives general supervision from the Chief of Procurement and Contracts.

Estimated Pay Range:

$77,226.24 - $106,186.08

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in fields of supply chain, procurement, engineering or Business or any field. Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.

Note: Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) and/or Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) certification, or the ability to obtain one of these certifications within two (2) years of hire, is preferred.

This position will be open until August 25, 2026.

Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.
