Job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our growing Procurement department. The Procurement Associate is responsible for ordering Russo Power’s parts and materials, analyzing costs, creating and submitting purchase orders, verifying pricing and availability, updating expected delivery dates, and assisting with general administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and multitasking skills, excellent attention to detail, and solid computer skills.


Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Maintain and support Russo’s purchasing strategy
  • Create purchase orders and submit orders to vendors
  • Obtain order confirmations and verify costs, quantities, availability, and estimated arrival dates (ETAs)
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels across internal branches
  • Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal departments while maintaining strong working relationships
  • Develop knowledge of brands and products used within the outdoor power equipment, landscaping, and snow industries, including both OEM and aftermarket products
  • Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments
  • Maintain and update purchase orders, manufacturers, part numbers, product descriptions, and related purchasing information
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient with general computer applications and systems
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and professional
  • Ability to effectively manage phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of outdoor power equipment, landscaping, and the snow industry is a plus
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently


Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time
  • Frequently required to spend extended periods of time working at a computer
  • May be required to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers for extended periods of time


Credentials and Experience:

  • Previous purchasing or procurement experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with supply chain or purchasing software, such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV, SAP, or similar systems
