About the team:
The Beef Sales and Procurement Team oversees Walmart’s end-to-end Beef Manufacturing Supply Chain, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality beef cuts at everyday low prices. This team excels in strategic sourcing, customer relationship management, and financial analysis to optimize category performance. Members collaborate across functions to drive cost efficiencies, mitigate risks, and implement innovative solutions. The team fosters a results-driven environment focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and effective negotiation to support Walmart’s commitment to value and quality for customers.
What you'll do:
  • Partner with procurement, operations, and finance teams to align commercial strategies with sourcing, production, and business objectives.
  • Lead commercial management activities across Walmart's beef network by developing and maintaining strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
  • Analyze commodity market trends, pricing data, production performance, and operational metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Develop pricing recommendations by monitoring beef commodity markets, supply and demand trends, and production economics.
  • Manage customer relationships by ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capabilities, and procurement strategies.
  • Influence cross-functional initiatives that improve profitability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
