The Senior Manager, Procurement leads the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize category performance and drive cost efficiencies. This role oversees supplier relationships, negotiates complex contracts, and manages risk across local and global supply chains. By leveraging financial acumen and data-driven insights, the position ensures alignment with business objectives while fostering continuous improvement. The Senior Manager also mentors and develops team members, promotes compliance with company policies, and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver sustainable value and operational excellence within a dynamic retail environment.
About the team:
This role leads Walmart’s enterprise GNFR uniform sourcing programs, overseeing supplier strategy, product commercialization, inventory continuity, and cross-functional execution for associate apparel. Their work uniquely integrates procurement, product development, supplier governance, and operational execution to deliver large-scale apparel programs across the enterprise. The team applies category strategy, negotiation, supplier relationship management, financial acumen, and apparel manufacturing expertise to drive effective sourcing solutions. Collaborating across functions, they ensure seamless program delivery while managing risks and optimizing supplier performance to support Walmart’s business goals.
