Logoplaste is currently seeking to recruit a Procurement Manager, to join our Plainfield, IL team.

The Procurement Manager – USA & Canada will act as the regional extension of Logoplaste's Global Procurement function, ensuring alignment between central strategy and local execution across all North American plants. The role is structured on a 50/50 split:

  • 50% Category Support (Repairs & Maintenance / MRO): reinforce the Global Category Manager for R&M by driving RFQs, spend control and savings.
  • 50% Regional Procurement Governance & Enablement: train and coach local buyers, standardize purchasing practices and bridge plants with central teams.

Key Responsibilities

Category Reinforcement: Repairs & Maintenance (50%)

  • Execute RFQs and sourcing events for R&M/MRO in USA & Canada, under the guidelines of the Global Category Manager.
  • Identify, qualify and negotiate with regional suppliers (spare parts, maintenance services, industrial equipment).
  • Monitor and control R&M spend; deliver savings aligned with the global category roadmap.
  • Consolidate demand across plants to unlock volume-based negotiations.
  • Benchmark suppliers and prices; flag opportunities for global deals.
  • Support maintenance teams in translating technical requirements into sourcing specifications.
  • Coordinate with the Global Category Manager on strategy, escalations and category reviews.
  • Progressively extend category support to other strategic categories as the regional model matures.

Regional Enablement, Training & Governance (50%)

  • Train local buyers, plant managers and requisitioners on Logoplaste's procurement processes and tools (SAP S/4HANA, PO workflow, approval matrix).
  • Reinforce the preferred supplier framework at plant level.
  • Serve as single point of contact between USA/Canada plants and Central Procurement.
  • Ensure contract compliance; reduce off-contract/maverick spend.
  • Drive the contracting process with regional suppliers (NDAs, MSAs, SLAs) with Legal and Central Procurement.
  • Audit and improve local purchasing practices (PO creation, 3-way match, vendor master data).
  • Deploy procurement KPIs at plant level (PO cycle time, contract coverage, savings capture).
  • Act as ambassador of Global Procurement in North America and support cross-functional projects (e.g., Marsh, BCP).

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business; MBA/Master is a plus.
  • 4–8 years of procurement experience, incl. category management or regional procurement, ideally in manufacturing, packaging or FMCG.
  • Proven track record in R&M / MRO sourcing.
  • Experience in multi-plant, matrix organizations with central and local reporting lines.

Technical Skills

  • Strong SAP S/4HANA (MM, sourcing, contracts).
  • RFQs, RFPs, e-auctions and structured negotiations.
  • Spend analysis, savings tracking and procurement KPIs.
  • Contract management (MSAs, SLAs, NDAs) and vendor onboarding.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI.

Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communicator and trainer, able to engage non-procurement audiences.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, balancing strategy with execution.
  • Able to influence without direct authority in a matrix environment.
  • Fluent in English (mandatory); Spanish or Portuguese a plus.
  • Autonomous, structured, results-oriented.
  • Willing to travel ~30–40% across USA & Canada.
