Position Summary

The Procurement Assistant supports the purchasing and supply chain functions for a welding supply and steel construction operation. This role is responsible for processing purchase orders, tracking material deliveries, maintaining vendor relationships, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring materials, tools, consumables, and equipment are available to support fabrication, construction, and field operations. The Procurement Assistant plays a critical role in maintaining accurate purchasing records, controlling costs, and coordinating timely delivery of products needed for business operations.

Key Responsibilities Purchasing & Procurement

ยท Create and process purchase orders for steel products, welding consumables, tools, safety equipment, and construction materials.

ยท Obtain and compare vendor quotes to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.

ยท Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

ยท Assist in negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with vendors.
