The Business Systems Analyst Intern will support the organization's Oracle ERP ecosystem by assisting in the analysis, documentation, testing, and optimization of business processes across multiple business units within a diversified conglomerate. The intern will work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Manufacturing, and IT teams to understand business requirements and support Oracle ERP initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and business performance.
This role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise business processes, Oracle ERP modules, system integrations, business analytics, and digital transformation projects.
This position is a summer internship and can be based at our Shafter or Del Rey, CA office.

Job Description
Business Analysis
  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders across various business units.
  • Assist in mapping current-state and future-state business processes.
  • Participate in workshops and stakeholder meetings to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Create business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.

Oracle ERP Support
  • Support Oracle ERP modules including:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Fixed Assets (FA)
    • Procurement
    • Inventory Management
    • Order Management
    • Supply Chain Planning
    • Sales Operations
  • Assist with ERP configuration reviews and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Help troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate with technical teams.

Finance Process Support
  • Analyze financial workflows including:
    • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
    • Order-to-Cash (O2C)
    • Record-to-Report (R2R)
    • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Support financial reporting and data validation activities.
  • Assist with month-end and quarter-end process improvement initiatives.

Supply Chain & Operations Support
  • Assist in evaluating inventory management, procurement, and logistics processes.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify operational inefficiencies.
  • Support ERP initiatives related to demand planning, inventory optimization, and procurement automation.

Sales & Customer Operations
  • Support Order Management and Customer Fulfillment processes.
  • Analyze sales transaction flows and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve sales operations through ERP capabilities.

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Extract, validate, and analyze business data from Oracle ERP and related systems.
  • Create reports and dashboards using tools such as:
    • Oracle Analytics
    • Power BI
    • Excel
    • SQL-based reporting tools
  • Develop metrics and KPIs for business process performance monitoring.

Testing & Documentation
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
  • Prepare test cases, test scripts, and validation documentation.
  • Document system enhancements, business processes, and training materials.
  • Support change management and end-user training efforts.

Pay Rate: $21.00 an hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
