We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join a design-build mechanical contractor in the Kansas City metro. This is a growth role built for someone with early-career construction experience who wants to develop into a full Project Manager with real project ownership and upside. You'll work directly alongside senior project managers on commercial and industrial mechanical projects — HVAC, piping, and plumbing — and gain broad, hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle in a collaborative, low-ego environment.

  • Anticipate $80K base salary (+/-)

Overview:

  • Assist with project coordination, documentation, scheduling, and communication across active mechanical construction projects
  • Support budgeting, cost tracking, and change order management
  • Work within Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms for project documentation and reporting
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal field and office teams
  • Help ensure project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met
