Job description

We're looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join Procore's Product & Technology Team. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative, top-rated global platform. We're a customer-centric group that encompasses engineering, product, product design and data, security and business systems.

In this Senior Systems Engineer role, we are looking for a candidate with a strong background in collaboration tools and workspace productivity technologies. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of modern collaboration ecosystems, integrations, and administration best practices, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-scale collaboration solutions.

This position reports into the Director, Information Systems Engineering and will be based in our Austin, TX office.

We're looking for someone to join us immediately. Apply today to join our team of Groundbreakers.

What you'll do:

  • Deploy, maintain, and optimize collaboration and productivity solutions to meet the security and compliance requirements of our internal clients.

  • Transition our Zoom, Google, and Slack stacks from basic utilities into a cohesive, high-velocity innovation engine.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automated workflows, policies, and cross-platform integrations that move beyond simple communication to autonomous task execution.

  • Configure and integrate collaboration systems with existing infrastructure, applications, and directory services to ensure seamless user authorization while staying ahead of permissions sprawl.

  • Treat our digital HQ tools as a strategic product rather than an administrative burden, maximizing the ROI of our enterprise licenses and bridging the gap between technical governance and employee productivity.

  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and best practice recommendations to turn our collaboration ecosystem into a measurable competitive advantage.

What we're looking for:

  • 5-7 years of experience in system engineering, with a focus on collaboration platforms, enterprise workspace management, or productivity solutions.

  • Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade communication and productivity stacks (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace, Slack) in large-scale environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

  • In-depth understanding of workspace governance concepts, including platform administration, cross-platform integrations, API workflows, permissions management, and security compliance.

  • Proficiency in collaboration technologies, enterprise administration consoles, app integrations, and identity/directory service synchronization related to messaging and productivity tools.

  • Experience with advanced workspace customization and treating collaboration ecosystems as an internal product to drive business efficiency.

  • Strong scripting and automation skills, with proficiency in languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash to orchestrate autonomous tasks and platform workflows.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and communicate technical governance concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Information

Base Pay Range:

111,760.00 - 153,670.00 USD Annual

This role may also be eligible for Equity Compensation and/or Bonus Incentive Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.

For Los Angeles County (unincorporated) Candidates:

Procore will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records, in accordance with the requirements of applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, and the California Fair Chance Act.

A criminal history may have a direct, adverse, and negative relationship on the following job duties, potentially resulting in the withdrawal of the conditional offer of employment: 1. appropriately managing, accessing, and handling confidential information including proprietary and trade secret information, as well as accessing Procore's information technology systems and platforms; 2. interacting with and occasionally having unsupervised contact with internal/external customers, stakeholders, and/or colleagues; and 3. exercising sound judgment.
