Procore Internship information

What is a Procore internship?

A Procore Internship is a temporary work program offered by Procore Technologies, designed for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in areas such as software engineering, product management, sales, and other business functions. Interns work on real projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and learn about the construction technology industry. The internship aims to provide valuable work experience, mentorship, and professional development opportunities, often with the possibility of future employment. Procore internships are typically offered during the summer and may be remote or onsite depending on business needs.

What types of projects do interns typically work on during a Procore internship?

As a Procore intern, you can expect to work on meaningful projects that directly impact the company's products and services. Interns are often integrated into existing teams and may be assigned to tasks such as developing new software features, improving user experience, or analyzing data to support business decisions. The internship is designed to offer hands-on experience, so you'll collaborate with full-time engineers, product managers, and designers, gaining exposure to agile development processes. This collaborative environment allows interns to learn quickly, contribute valuable work, and build professional relationships that can support future career growth.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Procore intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Procore Intern, you generally need a strong academic background in fields like computer science, business, or engineering, along with foundational knowledge relevant to the internship focus. Familiarity with Procore’s construction management software, productivity tools like Microsoft Office Suite, and, for technical roles, coding languages such as Python or JavaScript, is often beneficial. Strong communication, adaptability, and a willingness to learn are standout soft skills for collaborating with teams and embracing new challenges. These skills enable interns to contribute effectively, maximize learning opportunities, and support Procore’s dynamic work environment.

What is the difference between Procore Internship vs Construction Intern?

Work EnvironmentOffice-based with site visits, software training, and project supportPrimarily on-site at construction projects, assisting with daily operations
Employer & Industry UsageUsed by construction tech companies like Procore and construction firmsCommon in construction companies, contractors, and project management firms

The Procore Internship and Construction Intern roles both target students or recent graduates interested in construction and project management. While Procore Internships often focus on software, technology, and project coordination in an office setting, Construction Interns typically work directly on construction sites assisting with on-the-ground tasks. Both roles serve as entry points into the construction industry, with overlapping skills and industry relevance.
