Job description

In this position, you will develop new business in the Fluid Process industry by assisting customers to find solutions to their needs within a specified territory. You will be supported by our highly knowledgeable customer service team and supportive managers who will assist you in meeting and exceeding your sales goals. We seek an individual with a competitive mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
 
This position will manage a sales territory targeting Michigan. The ideal home base location for this role is in larger metro areas such as Ann Arbor, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Detroit or similar. 
Experience, Education and Skills
  • 2 year technical, industrial and/or business degree OR any suitable combination of education, training and experience
  • 2+ years increasing sales experience, with at least 1-year of industrial sales, preferably in fluid process, fluid handling or fluid filtration systems.
  • Experience with industrial filtration products and customers is a great plus!
  • Previous experience selling industrial pumps, seals and repair services beneficial
  • Ability to establish and maintain business relationships.
  • Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency is required
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Overnight travel may be required 
Essential Functions
  • Work with your Manager to create a sales plan to develop new customers and maintain existing accounts
  • Full cycle prospecting activities including qualification of leads, cold calls, customer site visits and sales presentations
  • Collaborate with knowledgeable customer service and technical support teams who will assist you in meeting and exceeding your goals
  • Utilization of tools, resources and CRM to plan and manage time and territory
