Job description

ABOUT MORGAN STANLEY
Morgan Stanley is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, wealth management and investment management services. With offices in more than 41 countries, the Firm's employees serve clients worldwide including corporations, governments, institutions, and individuals. For further information about Morgan Stanley, please visit www.morganstanley.com.
ABOUT PARAMETRIC
Parametric is part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, the asset management division of Morgan Stanley. We partner with advisors, institutions, and consultants to build portfolios focused on what's important to them and their clients. A leader in custom solutions for more than 30 years, we help investors access efficient market exposures, solve implementation challenges, and design multi-asset portfolios that respond to their evolving needs. We also offer systematic alpha and alternative strategies to complement clients' core holdings.
This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.
ABOUT TEAM
The Business Process Improvement and Organizational Programs team partners with Business, Operations, Technology, Architecture and Risk to ensure change is informed by a shared understanding of business processes, ownership, governance and impacts. We strive to make business change visible, traceable, and decision-ready; create practical artefacts that improve change outcomes, clarify ownership, expose dependencies and provide a clear line of sight from business intent through to solution delivery.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The organization is executing multiple strategic initiatives across technology modernization, regulatory change, operating model evolution, and global growth. This role establishes and applies enterprise discipline across complex, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring that business processes are explicitly understood, operating model implications are identified early, and decisions are supported by structured analysis.
Beyond supporting initiatives, you'll help define and embed our enterprise process & operating model framework, establishing standards, reusable artefacts and consistent ways of working across the organization. Parametric believes each member of our organization makes a significant contribution to our success. That contribution should not be limited by the assigned responsibilities. Therefore, this job description is designed to outline primary duties and qualifications. It is our expectation that every member of our team will offer his/her/their services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our client services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Lead process discovery and operating model analysis across strategic initiatives, translating complex business challenges into clear, decision-ready artefacts.
  • Facilitate workshops to challenge assumptions, identify process gaps, dependencies, business rules, data impacts and unresolved ownership before solution decisions are made.
  • Assess change across people, process, platform and data, translating process insights into practical operating model considerations and implementation recommendations.
  • Develop current and future state process models, using BPMN and other structured artefacts appropriate to the decision being supported.
  • Build and embed the Enterprise Process & Operating Model Framework by developing standards, templates, modelling conventions and reusable process assets.
  • Maintain enterprise process knowledge, ensuring process information is governed, reusable and provides consistent inputs into business and technology decisions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years' experience in Business Process Management, Operating Model Design, Business Analysis or Business Architecture.
  • Strong end-to-end process thinking with the ability to decompose complex, cross-functional business processes.
  • Experience supporting complex cross-functional change within large organizations (financial services preferred).
  • Confident facilitator who can challenge assumptions and build consensus across multiple stakeholder perspectives.
  • Ability to adapt approach, depth and communication style to suit different stakeholders, enabling effective collaboration and informed decision making across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience producing structured process artefacts that inform business and technology decisions.
  • Proficient in BPMN and process modelling tools (e.g. Signavio, Visio or Lucid).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office, collaboration tools (Confluence) and emerging AI productivity suite.
  • Working knowledge of workflow solutions such as Camunda is a strong advantage.
  • Industry credentials in one or more of the following domains are highly desired: Business Process Management, Process Architecture / Business Architecture, Operating Model Design, and Enterprise Transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to think beyond process mapping to understand how organizations operate.
  • Can turn ambiguity into structured analysis and practical outcomes.
  • Demonstrated balance of strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
  • Passion and skill for building frameworks, standards and repeatable ways of working.
  • Someone who sees process as a tool for better business outcomes, not just documentation.
