Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering an exceptional borrower experience. This role will partner closely with a dedicated Loan Originator (LO) and play a critical role in ensuring loans move efficiently from application through closing. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working directly with borrowers while managing complex loan files and changing mortgage guidelines. Key Responsibilities Review and evaluate new loan files within 48 hours to ensure proper structure and complete disclosures. Analyze income, assets, credit, and supporting documentation within 24 hours of receipt. Prepare and submit complete, accurate loan packages to underwriting. Proactively clear underwriting conditions and keep loans on track to meet contract and rate lock deadlines. Maintain an organized and accurate pipeline within Encompass. Communicate regularly with borrowers, loan originators, underwriters, and other stakeholders throughout the loan process. Manage a pipeline of approximately 25–30 active loans while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent customer service. Support a dedicated Loan Originator, requiring the ability to manage more complex transactions and provide a high level of individualized attention. Required Qualifications Current experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor. Hands-on experience with Encompass (required). Strong understanding of current mortgage guidelines, documentation requirements, and underwriting processes. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Outgoing, customer-focused personality with the ability to build rapport with borrowers. Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Experience Experience processing a variety of residential mortgage products. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with loan originators and underwriting teams. Demonstrated success managing a pipeline while maintaining quality and compliance standards. What We're Looking For Detail-oriented and process-driven.
