Responsibilities

Sr. Process Managers are responsible for leading process improvement projects and directing the work of Process Engineers in support of the Claims operation. They influence strategy and prioritization of key business and technology initiatives. 

  • Leads complex, end to end process design initiatives aligned with overall department strategy, crossing multiple contact centers or departments with significant enterprise impact, as assigned
  • Provides leadership for process initiatives and subject matter technical resource expertise in more than one of the following areas: benchmarking, business process analysis, change management and measurement
  • Leads and defines on process design plans and implementation at the highest level across department
  • Continually improves and innovates process design and application across multiple segments
  • Demonstrates an advanced level of knowledge in Lean Operations, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Data Analytics, etc.
  • Serves as a coach and mentor to Process team members and executives in operations management and decision making
  • Monitors process results, and/or identifies data-informed improvement opportunities, leads root cause analysis and develops action plans to address performance/workflow gaps
  • Identifies, provides requirements and manages prioritization of supporting technology that enables efficiency effectiveness, insights and controls
  • Acts as a liaison by representing business requirements, opportunities, and priorities to departments within the organization  
  • Assists with identifying key measures and performance targets for supported business areas
  • Analyzes operational metrics and identifies and applies levers to positively impact performance
  • Develops and manages process accountability framework for leaders
  • Communicates the scope of changes and identifies how they affect other areas
  • Collaborates with peers in other functions and departments on continuous improvement and relative topics within scope of responsibility
  • Presents regular progress and analysis updates in written, visual, and verbal form to business partners including executives with a focus on simple storytelling
  • Partners with business stakeholders, Public Affairs, HR&D and others to develop and execute change adoption activities supporting the rollout of new solutions

Where You'll Work: This is a "Hybrid" position, which means selected candidates located near a State Farm Hub (Dallas TX, Atlanta GA, Phoenix, AZ or Bloomington, IL) will spend 50% of time in office and 50% work from home.  

Items of Note:

  • May require travel via commercial transportation and driving motor vehicles to any location where the company does business.
  • May work irregular hours, including evenings/holidays/weekends.
  • May work outside domicile location.

Qualifications

Highly Preferred:

  • Ability to influence and collaborate well with business partners in Claims and supporting departments is an important skill
  • Strong Claims and/or Process Improvement skills
  • Ability to use data to inform recommendations and present professionally in both written and oral formats
  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree (MBA) preferred
  • At least 6 years of experience in process/project management
  • At least 2 years of experience in leading cross-functional teams within an organization
  • Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Project Management certification

  • Potential starting salary range: $137,000 - $179,000
    • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
    • High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
