Position Summary:

The Loan Processor Manager is responsible for managing regional loan processing operations, including production, work quality, training programs, service levels, and funding decisions outside of policy. Resolves escalated issues involving internal stakeholders, dealer partners, and Dealer Relationship Managers (DRMs), ensuring timely and professional resolution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, support, and development to Loan Processing teams.
  • Ensure the achievement of all funding objectives, including volume, turn time, portfolio performance, and legal and procedural compliance.
  • Manage regional production, quality, and service levels to meet performance targets.
  • Evaluate performance against established metrics; identify operational deficiencies and collaborate with Loan Processing Managers to implement improvement plans.
  • Oversee the accuracy and completeness of loan documentation and ensure timely submission to underwriting and funding teams.
  • Communicate effectively with Credit, Sales, and dealer management to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
  • Review exception deals and make decisions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop, coordinate, and support training activities and staff development in accordance with SFS policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality when accessing personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
  • Other duties may be assigned; responsibilities and activities may change.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform the above-referenced essential duties and responsibilities as well as assist in directing the work of employees assigned to the department by leading and overseeing their day-to-day activities and work schedules and by providing work-related guidance to the Retail Funding teams in accordance with the Companys policies and procedures. This position has the authority to lead, oversee, and direct the day-to-day work of assigned employees and to report work assessments to management, and has the authority to take the following actions: hire an employee, fire an employee, promote or demote an employee, formally discipline an employee, reassign an employee, or alter the benefits of an employee. All such decisions shall be made by the responsible senior manager(s) in consultation with the Human Resources Department.

Qualifications and Competencies Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Required Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years auto finance industry experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Sr. Loan Processor or similar position.
  • Must have experience as a Loan Processing Team Lead.

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of retail funding regulations, legal requirements, and industry trends.
  • Ability to analyze complex retail data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven experience managing a team and driving operational efficiency.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret credit reports from TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax.
  • Strong knowledge of indirect auto lending practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., TILA, RESPA, TRID).
  • Proficiency in loan origination systems (e.g., Dealertrack, RouteOne, or similar platforms).
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Travel 0-10% - as required on an as-needed basis.

Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ.
