JOB SUMMARY

This position supports AFCโ€™s loan processors by reviewing loan files for issuance of a pre-approval, while helping to maintain data integrity and requesting necessary 3rd party items to make Automated underwriting approval decisions.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 2 years RECENT experience, mortgage background, well versed in Conventional, FHA, VA lending practices and DU & LP automated underwriting systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple income types including Schedule C, 1120โ€™s & 1065โ€™s/calculating income for each.
  • Must have ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask, managing multiple, changing priorities.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, up to 8+ hours in a shift, including visual acuity to work on two computer monitors and hand movement to use keyboard for typing and mouse for system navigation

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Procures verification's for credit items which include but are not limited to employment, assets, credit reports, etc.
  • Maintain a secure environment for loan process files. Good moral ethics/conduct.
  • Reviews documentation and provides conditions for automated loans approvals needed to comply with underwriting guidelines.
  • Analyzes and interprets financial data to fit established standards set by the industry.
  • Ensures that all necessary disclosures(state, federal and company specific) are provided to the client as required.
  • Communicates any concerns on possible misrepresentation or fraudulent documentation/activity expeditiously to compliance/processing management.
  • Ensures that the quality of loans submissions is consistent with maintaining the efficiencies of the loan file flow.
  • Assists with problem solving when issues arise that involve the successful closing of the requested residential loan.
  • Maintaining borrower contact if necessary to obtain required items to make a decision on an automated loan approval.

Compensation: $40,000 in base plus bonus
