Palm Beach Health Network - Tenet is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a job in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Job Description & Requirements

Full Time, Days

The Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the reprocessing of all sterile and non-sterile materials, instruments, and equipment for surgery and other hospital units. He/she is responsible for manual cleaning and decontamination; operating the mechanical washers and sonic units; testing autoclaves for efficiency and maintaining compliant records; He/she assists in the recall process as needed. As a certified technician, the technician will also assist in the education and training of other staff (e.g., new hires) with respect to quality assurance, performance improvement, and departmental compliance. 

   
  • Performs Decontamination Procedure According to Policy.
  • Key Responsibility #2-Performs Sterilization Procedure According to departmental Policy.
  • Maintains Patient Equipment.
  • Assists with the Education/Training of Staff     
 

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent. 
     

EXPERIENCE

  • 6 months minimum required as CS/SPD Tech or other relevant
