Isola, an industry leader in global materials sciences whose mission is to improve life by enabling innovation in electronic products, is hiring a Human Resource Manager at our Ridgeway, SC Location.

 

THE ROLE

The Human Resource Manager to oversee all aspects of the local human resources process. This is both a strategic and hands-on role through partnering with the local Business Leaders and employees on day-to-day HR guidance and support to help develop and deliver the people strategy and business solutions. Strong Collaboration is required with other HR parts to align key priorities with the business and provide professional service.

This role supports and collaborates with Plant Managers/Operations Directors, Local Leadership, Employees, HR Leadership, and Global HR Support teams. In this role there will be up to three direct reports with the opportunity for growth.

 

TOP RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Plant Human Resources Manager will lead site efforts to implement Isola's Performance Culture, which emphasizes employee experience, quality, safety, and effective continuous improvement to drive a highly capable and productive workforce.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives to align with business strategy.
  • Lead local efforts and provide input to execute Isola's People Strategy, which includes collaboration with Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, Organizational Effectiveness, Talent Management, KPIs,
  • Retention and Recognition Planning & Culture.
  • Provide change management advice and support initiatives (program implementation & change
  • initiatives)
  • Ensure legal policies and procedures are followed and maintained
  • Identify business compensation needs and partner with regional and global leadership to find
  • solutions and provide compensation consulting to leaders to attract and retain team
  • Serve as a bridge between Plant Leadership and Talent Acquisition to ensure that communication,
  • responsibilities and service level agreements regarding Plant Recruiting are fulfilled.
  • Take the lead on HR issues as part of business crisis management

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous leadership experience in manufacturing and/or production
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing functional areas and their interactions, and a working knowledge of continuous
  • Organization Effectiveness- partner the business in terms of Organization Design, Leadership & Team Effectiveness, and Change Management
  • Talent Management- Applying workforce planning knowledge, engagement strategies, and succession management.
  • Conflict Resolution- Ability to manage conflict and diffusing tensions to foster a healthy Employee Relations climate.
  • Provide support and leadership to the Plant Leadership teams contributing to Plant strategy discussions and decision-making and execution of Plant people agenda.
  • Advising Plant leadership on people issues, supported by robust measurement and evaluation. Being the expert and agent on people challenges, with a key focus on talent, performance, and change.
  • Strong collaboration with other parts of HR to align key priorities with the business and to deliver professional service. This role supports and collaborates with Plant managers and Team leaders, HR, employees, Union (where relevant), and HR specialist teams.
  • Excellent communication- analytical thinking, breakthrough thinking, and facilitating relationships comprising of different levels of employees.
  • Change Agent- Takes on a change agent role within the Plant leadership team; build and execute change plans.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in HR Management or related discipline.
  • Requires a comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources (a minimum of 5 years required) to include Employee Engagement, Change Management, Organizational Design, local and national labor laws, and current economic and labor relations developments in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience as an HR Team Leader/Manager that has a strong understanding of manufacturing functional areas and their interactions, and a working knowledge of continuous improvement/Lean manufacturing.
  • Previous leadership experience coaching leaders and building leadership teams.
  • Must have demonstrated capability in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and working within site culture. In-depth knowledge of business strategy, and specific HR functional knowledge.
  • Fluent in English; written and spoken.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication is essential.
