Plant Manager
Company Information
Dilmar Oil Company is a family-owned business operating since 1932 as a petroleum and lubricant distributor. Dilmar distributes various lubricants, oils, greases, and other petroleum products, as well as fluid reclamation services. Continues to be one of the largest Lubricant Distributors in the Southeast.
The Plant Manager will oversee the daily operations of the plant and its employees. The duties will include training, meeting specific targets, reviewing production and processes, coordinating with executive leadership and company initiatives to support the overall success of Dilmar Oil Company.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safety, delivery, efficiency, quality requirements, customer satisfaction, and plant profitability targets are realized.
  • Make sure daily functions performed by location personnel coincide with company vision and objectives.
  • Promote a team environment that promotes open communication, the sharing of ideas and balanced workloads.
  • Promote cross training of personnel performing critical functions where possible.
  • Manage inventory functions to include purchase order generation, intra-company transfer generation, repackaging, reconciliation, optimum stocking levels and month end inventory closing activities as established.
  • Utilizes leadership skills to communicate vision and direction from management team to plant staff.
  • Adheres to all plant and OSHA safety policies and regulations.
  • Directs and manages the day-to-day plant activities.
  • Works closely with production scheduling to optimize customer satisfaction, delivery, and plant efficiency.
  • Supports and initiates projects for continued quality, safety, and cost improvements.
  • Ensuring that the facility is properly staffed and trained.
  • Helps ensure that all training, disciplinary actions, and employee advancements are properly administered and maintained.
  • Helps ensure that the plant’s processes and costs enhance profitability while staying within legal guidelines of company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, manufacturing, engineering or similar field preferred but not required. Will consider manufacturing or warehouse experience in lieu of degree
  • Budgeting, strategic planning, warehouse or resource allocation and planning experience
  • Lean manufacturing or continual improvement process experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem Solving skills
