As a Downstream Processing (DSP) Operator, you'll play a hands-on role in producing advanced materials in a cGMP manufacturing environment while working with a collaborative, safety-focused team.

What You'll Do
Under the guidance of a Team Leader and Manufacturing Management, the DSP Operator is responsible for executing day-to-day production activities in the Downstream Processing area. This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and critical to maintaining product quality and process reliability.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Operate and monitor downstream processing equipment and utilities
  • Start/stop pumps, open/close manual valves, collect samples, and respond to process alarms
  • Monitor process conditions and adjust parameters to maintain stability
  • Accurately complete batch records, logbooks, and production documentation in compliance with cGMP standards
  • Review production documentation for accuracy, completeness, and quality compliance
  • Add chemicals and process additives based on calculations and procedures
  • Troubleshoot process or equipment deviations and initiate corrective actions
  • Communicate production metrics, issues, and shift handoffs clearly
  • Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready work areas per GMP standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Train and support new or developing operators
  • Serve as a safety leader-stop production when a quality or safety concern is identified

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy
  • Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with automated systems and manual equipment
  • Proficient with basic computer systems (Microsoft Suite)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in applied process technologies or related field
  • Prior experience in biotech, chemical, or cGMP manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of GMP, safety protocols, and quality systems

Work Schedule
  • Full-time, 12-hour shifts
  • Days or nights, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and climb ladders/stairs
  • Work in hot, cold, loud, and industrial manufacturing environments
  • Use of PPE including hearing protection in designated areas
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles
