HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
As a Supervisor, Sterile Processing you'll play a vital role in advancing our mission. In this position, you'll be responsible for shift leadership of the Production Support Department and all activities associated within. Oversees compliance to department and organizational Standard Operating Procedures. Ensures all PSD activities are compliant with FDA Good Tissue Practices (GTP)/ Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), AAMI/ISO standards, and AATB standards. Complies with LifeNet Health's Quality Systems and Corporate Compliance programs. Adheres to department safety policies and procedures. Adheres to organizational attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Works to provide effective and proficient decontamination and equipment sterilization.
  • Supervises PSD staff performance via appraisals, goal setting, and resource management. Conducts employee improvement action plans, quality audits, and disciplinary actions as needed. Assists with technical training and interviewing.
  • Creates, revises and enforces production policies and standard operating procedures for the production support department that are consistent with GMP/GTP, AATB and AAMI/ISO Standards.
  • Ensures that sterilization quality control release requirements are met and appropriate documentation is completed.
  • Processes customer complaints, non-conformances and internal errors and develops effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Ensures timely and effective reporting and corrective action of PSD equipment malfunctions.
  • Monitors routinely reports PSD key performance indicators and objectives to ensure continuous improvement and timely completion of tasks / projects. Assists PSD manager in setting department goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates strong skills utilizing the Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM). Maintains and publishes various SPM reports as needed or requested.
  • Maintains an adequate inventory level of surgical instrumentation, equipment and medical/surgical supplies to ensure department efficiency

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CRST Certification or equivalent must be obtained within 2 years of position start date
  • Two (2) years supervisory/management experience (can include specialist/SME/Lead/ or preceptor)
  • Four (4) years' work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Allied Health, Life Sciences or related
  • Previous Tissue Banking, Medical Device or related industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Sterile Processing Microsystems (SPM) or equivalent equipment tracking system preferred.

COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $24.64 / hourly to $32.85 / hourly
Final compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. The pay range for this position is $24.64 hourly (entry level qualifications) to $32.85
(experienced in this role). Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate's knowledge and relevant experience.
