Central Sterile Supervisor - Central Sterile Supply - Columbia - Full-time - Nights

In this role, you will assure that the standards of departmental operations are in compliance with the standards set by regulatory agencies, such as the state Department of Health, Joint Commission and others. Take responsibility for supervising and coordinating the activities of personnel in the department, involving sterile and medical supplies and equipment of use in the care and treatment of patients. Conduct employee competencies and oversee a team of technicians. You'll be there as the voice of what's effective and emerging in the business of central sterile care.

This is a full time position working 11PM-7AM at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. There are no weekends or holidays required.

Preferred Criteria

  • Prior leadership experience in a major medical center

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management or certified by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)

  • Two or more years progressive work related experience

  • Leadership qualities
