YOUR PURPOSE: Oversee the storage, aging, and bottling processes to ensure consistent quality and compliance.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

INVENTORY & PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

  • Accurate scheduling of Personnel and Operations.
  • Conduct periodic warehouse inventory audit.
  • Communicate order/inventory needs.
  • Accurate barrel tracking.
  • Management of logistics and processing of all internal and external purchase orders, updating PARS as needed.
  • Accurate recordkeeping, reporting, and mapping.
  • Serialize barrels and input all Bottling records within Dx5 inventory software.
  • Weigh aging barrels and record data results.
  • Coordinate bottling operation with Bottling Lead 72 hours in advance.
  • Coordinate Barrel Reserve orders, single barrels, and custom labels with Warehouse Lead, Bottling line, and Marketing.
  • Coordinate Event space use with Event Leader and Bottling line.
  • Coordinate Contract Manufacturing with Customer and update daily as production hits milestones.

QUALITY CONTROL

  • Ensure Barreling QC standards are achieved.
  • Ensure Barreling accuracy is achieved.
  • Maintain QC checklist and standards.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness standards.
  • Develop and oversee procedures for monitoring quality of incoming barrels.
  • Perform routine leak searches and repair leaking barrels.

LEADERSHIP, MANAGEMENT, & ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Direct and manage the team to achieve outcomes.
  • Conduct the Journeyman Distillery Employee Ecosystem as per the process with every direct report.
  • Manage the resourcing of roles within the department, with a focus on cultural fit.
  • Coach team members to effectively complete tasks, communicate effectively with other stakeholders and grow their skills.
  • Oversee Performance Management of direct reports including terminations ensuring positive and respectful relationships are maintained.
