Lendz Financial is seeking an exceptionally organized and detail-oriented Document Processing Specialist to join our growing Operations team. No mortgage experience necessary – we'll teach you everything you need to know! Internally, this role is known as the Collateral Specialist and plays a vital part in managing collateral documentation, supporting servicing and funding processes, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of loan files. It's an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to gain hands-on experience in financial operations while contributing to the smooth and efficient flow of post-closing activities. This position is fully onsite at our Fort Lauderdale headquarters on Las Olas Boulevard.

What You'll Do

  • Process daily shipping of collateral to various warehouse banks.
  • Generating and saving, to the respective file, an Allonge to the Promissory Note.
  • Separating the Promissory Note and any other documents our investors need from the closing package.
  • Saving and keeping the necessary original documentation and scanning it into PDF formats.
  • Documenting dates of all document's shipments (incoming and outgoing) in Zoho.
  • Create FedEx labels for all collateral shipments and save all labels generated.
  • Scan and mail recorded mortgages and TP (Trailing docs) to the corresponding investor.
  • Fill out Transmittal Template for Investors for shipping trailing docs.
  • Handle all urgent and non-urgent investors trailing doc requests in a timely manner.
  • Review collateral packages from title companies and request missing documents.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with investors, title companies, and internal teams

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative or operations capacity; mortgage experience a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook); comfortable learning new technology platforms.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, urgency, and accountability.
