First Line Test & Evaluation Engineering Manager

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a First Line Test & Evaluation Engineering Manager (Level K) to join our team in Smithfield and Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Test and Evaluation Engineering
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location options.
To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement. (Candidate must meet the Academic Standard(s) or the Exception criteria to be considered)
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Earned Value Management / Cost Account Management training / certification
  • Lock Out / Tag Out / Try Out (LOTOTO) Training
  • High Voltage Safety Training
  • Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and / or Environmental Qualification Testing Experience
