Job Description

The Order Processing Associate for Eataly’s corporate buying team will be responsible for processing orders for Eataly third-party and franchise locations, managing order submission, sales order creation, vendor correspondence, and data analysis. This role works closely with Buyers and Category Managers as critical administrative and data support.

· Accurately enters customer orders into internal purchasing system and submits to applicable vendor partner

· Collaborate with category managers and buyers to troubleshoot order issues, including out of stocks and confirmation of approved back up item, pricing, and item ID

· Tracks order confirmations, delivery status and communicates substitutes, out of stocks or delays as applicable

· Processes and verifies sales orders for completeness, pricing, and accuracy

· Follows up with vendors on discrepancies, shortages, delays or substitutions on behalf of buying team

· Ensures compliance with order deadlines and delivery schedules

· Maintains and updates order records, spreadsheets and databases in connection with order entry

· Enters purchase and sales trade agreements (pricing quotes) in purchasing software

· Creates data-focused files to summarize product performance, usage and fill rate by item and vendor

· Support buyers and category managers with data and operational insights

· Assist with process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and fill rate performance

· Exercises clear communication with team placing orders and provides consistent feedback on standard operating procedures

· Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

· Minimum of two (2) years experience in order processing, supply chain or related data analytics and purchasing centric fields

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong knowledge of Excel

· Ability to be flexible and problem solve in a fluid environment

· Excellent communication skills

· Outstanding data, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

· Experience working with Microsoft D365 a plus

· Familiarity with restaurant or airport operations is a plus

· Two (2) year associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year college preferred

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· May require coordination across different time zones and vendor schedules. Candidate will be based in New York City ideally. In-person and remote work available (hybrid work week).

The compensation for this role is $20 - $25 per hour.
