ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Business Analyst reporting to the Global Head of Product Development, you will act as a key liaison between business and technical teams, translating business needs into actionable requirements and managing project workflows. The role involves stakeholder collaboration, process analysis, and data-driven insights in financial services and hedge fund operations.

Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to gather and document business requirements.

  • Serve as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria in Jira.

  • Maintain and manage Jira boards, workflows, and dashboards to support agile project tracking.

  • Analyze current business processes andidentifyareas for improvement.

  • Work closely with Quality Assurance and Development teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented correctly.

  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business requests into technical specifications and to challenge and refinerequests whenappropriate.

PRIMARY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's orMaster's Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, orrelated fields.

  • Strong experience using Jira in Agile/Scrum environments, withproficiencyin drafting user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including 5+ years within the technology function of a hedge fund, fund administrator, prime broker, or financial institution in their capital markets division.

  • Good knowledge of Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau, with a proven ability to analyze data using dashboards and reports.

  • Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and present information to stakeholders.

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and resourceful, with a proven ability to stay organized and manage tasks efficiently.

  • Familiarity with leveraging AIassistedtools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot,Rovoand AI enabled platforms for requirements gathering and documentation.

  • Knowledge of middle-office hedge fund processes such as reconciliation, Treasury, NAV calculation, and margin calculation is considered an asset.

  • Experience in application development related to Treasury or the Trade Life Cycle within financial services, ideally in the hedge fund space, is considered an asset.

  • Certifications such as CFA, FRM, PMP, or CSPO are considered assets.

  • Hands-on development experience (i.e.Python) is considered an asset.
