Job description

We are driven to do more. More for our customers and the financial professionals who offer our products. If you are driven to do more and love the challenge of pursuing more, Athene is your kind of company. You will find we offer more than the basics to create an inclusive and dynamic work environment at our various locations.

Purpose:

The Senior Process Analyst is an advanced contributor responsible for owning and driving end-to-end process optimization initiatives across Athene's Operations area, with a primary focus on artificial intelligence adoption and implementation. This role goes beyond analysis to influencing outcomes - identifying opportunities where AI and automation can reduce operational risk, eliminate manual effort, and generate measurable business value. The Senior Process Analyst serves as a cross-functional leader, connecting Operations, IT, and business stakeholders to shape how AI-driven solutions are evaluated, deployed, and sustained. This role is also accountable for maintaining and advancing Athene's business continuity framework, ensuring critical processes remain resilient and recoverable in an evolving technology landscape.

Accountabilities:

  • Own end-to-end AI and process improvement initiatives, from opportunity identification through implementation and post-deployment measurement

  • Coordinate the evaluation, prioritization, and business case development for AI tools and automation opportunities within Insurance Operations

  • Define measurement frameworks and success metrics to quantify the business impact of AI initiatives on efficiency, accuracy, risk, and cost

  • Conduct data discovery, analysis, and reporting to surface trends, anomalies, and performance indicators; translate findings into clear, actionable insights for leadership

  • Proactively identify emerging process issues and downstream risks associated with AI implementations and develop mitigation strategies before problems occur

  • Lead cross-functional workstreams spanning Operations, IT, and external vendors; serve as a primary process subject matter expert for AI-related projects

  • Influence decisions on technology prioritization and process investment by presenting well-supported recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders

  • Develop, document, and maintain business continuity and contingency plans, incorporating AI system dependencies

  • Mentor and serve as a peer resource across the Operations Support team, providing guidance on analytical approach and AI tool evaluation

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, with 5+ years of experience in process analysis, operational improvement, or a related field demonstrating progression in scope and complexity

  • Proven experience leading or contributing to AI, automation, or intelligent process improvement initiatives, including defining success metrics, quantifying business impact, and translating complex data into clear, strategic insights

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional efforts, influence decisions without direct authority, and present complex topics clearly to senior leadership, IT teams, and frontline operations

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and holding external partners accountable to deliverables, with proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred

  • Self-directed with a strong ownership mindset, high attention to detail, and accountability for outcomes, not just deliverables
