Avanti is seeking Process Technicians to join our growing Company!
Job Summary:
Process Technicians for Non-Woven material production line are responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Position requires data entry, machine monitoring, troubleshooting, quality control, and strong attention to detail.
Job Details:
  • Day Shift - 7:00AM-7:00PM or Night Shift - 7:00PM-7:00AM
  • Full-Time: Fixed 2-2-3 rotation
  • Pay starting at $25-30/hour, depending on education and experience
  • Holidays worked are paid double time
  • Employees who begin working after 5:00 PM are eligible to receive a night shift differential of $2.50 per hour in addition to their regular hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate, set up, and adjust nonwoven PPSB production machinery to optimize performance and maintain consistent product quality.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify abnormalities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and resolve mechanical, electrical, or process-related issues on the production line.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration of machinery as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze production data, identify trends, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement long-term solutions for recurring issues.
  • Perform in-process quality control checks, ensure adherence to product specifications, and document results.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including waste reduction, efficiency optimization, and process standardization.
  • Train and mentor operators on proper machine operation, troubleshooting techniques, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas according to 5S principles and ensure compliance with all safety protocols and SOPs.

Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree or equivalent required; technical certification or Trade School degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of machine operator experience, preferably in manufacturing or nonwoven production.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ability to perform data entry and basic calculations.
  • Willingness to work every other weekend, rotating shifts, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Able to stand for 12-hour shifts, walk frequently, climb stairs, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work in high-temperature environments.
  • Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check upon hire.
