Job description

Process Engineer
What You Will Do
Our Process Engineers provide day-to-day tactical direction, apply technical skills, maintain operations, and resolve routine issues. They ensure safe, efficient, productive, and environmentally sound manufacture of active ingredients or intermediates.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Makes tactical decisions and sets direction to achieve area performance goals related to safety, quality, waste minimization, capacity, reliability, and operability.
  • Coordinates with corporate and site production planners on production timing and raw material availability.
  • Development and tracking of key performance indicators.
  • Investigates plant performance issues related to safety, quality, environmental impact, capacity, reliability, and operability leading to proposal and implementation of sound technical solutions.
  • Serves as process expert and plant representative for design, construction, and implementation of investment projects - interfacing with technical professionals from other disciplines (e.g. PCT, project engineering, environmental and utility services operations, and process development).
  • Creates, maintains, and develops standards for plant operating documentation (e.g. standard operating procedures, process descriptions, material and energy balances, P&IDs, and operating data collection and retrieval).
  • Responsible for area PHA documentation.
  • Proposes designs and executes plant trials directed at enhancing plant performance and optimization.
  • Compiles, formats, and submits environmental data necessary for timely and accurate filing with local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Promotes continued development of self and area personnel through peer coaching and providing constructive feedback.
  • Support Site and Area Production System improvements.
  • Direct report to the Area Leader; direct interface with area management, shift leaders, and support services representatives (e.g. maintenance and QHSE).
  • Coordination and cooperation with area and site personnel to deliver an efficient, effective, compliant, and responsive support to the shift organization.
  • Interface with Corporate Production Planners, Raw Materials Procurement.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS with 2 years experience.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $ 55600.00 - 83400.00 per year. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
