Server Part-Time/Casual Hours - Primary need Wed, Fri, Sat & Sun
3:30 pm to 8:00 pm Monday through Saturday
10:30 am to 3:00 pm Sunday
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
The Waitstaff position performs table service for dining room and Bistro. This position serves food in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Perform pre-service checklist to ensure readiness to open.
  • Attend daily touchdown meetings prior to service to understand the menu items and preparation methods.
  • May prepare and deliver room service for residents.
  • Greet your guests and introduce yourself to them.
  • Provide your guests with dinner rolls and ice water.
  • Take and deliver food orders to table(s), ensuring accuracy.
  • Fully understand the Point of Sales system and ticket calling procedure, ensuring accuracy.
  • Properly process guest payments accordingly utilizing our point of sales system.
  • Being attentive to guests wants and requests to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Clear all soiled items from the table and re-set the table.
  • Perform post-service checklist to ensure readiness to open for the next day.
  • Attend all required service staff meetings to address problems, concerns or plans.
  • Read all literature, memos concerning changes or other necessary information.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Six months food service experience preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Demonstrated, organizational and communication skills and have a friendly and positive attitude.
  • Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors and the general public.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Performing duties of this job requires prolonged standing and routine walking in and around the kitchen and dining area. Must be able to occasionally lift loads of 30 pounds and routinely lift 25 pounds without assistance and the ability to sit, talk, and hear is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
