Job description

Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Large Casting Processor. The core hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
The hourly rate for this position is $20.55 per hour.

What you'll do:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform a wide variety of duties throughout the large casting molding and finishing areas. Duties include: assisting the molder, repairing ladles, loading and unloading flasks, bottom boards, and upsets to molding lines; pouring molds, shaking out molds, operating automated shake-out machine, core knockout, grinding large castings and operating shot-blast equipment; transporting materials/metal with either gas operated fork truck or hand truck and operate power sweeper; Use all required equipment in grinding such as hand tools, air grinders, air chisels, band saws, etc. to remove fins, parting lines, sprues, risers, gates, surface roughness and all irregularities from castings. Place wheels or abrasive belts on machines and make simple adjustments on machines as required. Patch surface imperfections within Q.C. standards. Refer unusual or questionable situations to proper supervision.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experience.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographic area (50 miles) of Syracuse, NY will be considered for this position
