Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Systems Administrator to manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure while ensuring the stability, security, and performance of corporate systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Tanium endpoint management, software patching, Windows image development, and Microsoft enterprise technologies. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, automation experience, and the ability to support large-scale endpoint deployments in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and support Windows server and desktop environments.
  • Manage enterprise endpoint administration using Tanium, including software deployment, patch management, compliance reporting, and endpoint health monitoring.
  • Develop, maintain, and deploy standardized Windows operating system images using tools such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), or Microsoft Intune.
  • Plan, test, and implement monthly operating system and third-party application patching while minimizing business disruption.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and resolve escalated technical incidents.
  • Configure and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server services.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and other scripting languages.
  • Maintain endpoint security by implementing security baselines, vulnerability remediation, and compliance policies.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configurations.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, networking, and application teams to implement enterprise technology solutions.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvement projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong experience administering Tanium for endpoint management and patching.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Windows desktop images.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Microsoft Intune, or similar endpoint management platforms.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Experience supporting virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, vulnerability management, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certifications (Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, or equivalent).
  • Tanium Certified Administrator or similar Tanium certification.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms.
  • Experience supporting enterprise environments with 1,000+ endpoints.
