Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance leads global product safety, regulatory compliance, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs to ensure products, packaging, and business practices comply with applicable regulations and company standards. This role develops compliance strategies, monitors regulatory changes, manages supplier compliance and product testing, oversees product quality and recalls, and partners with cross-functional teams to minimize risk while supporting sustainable and compliant business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement global product safety and regulatory compliance strategies.
  • Lead Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs and regulatory reporting.
  • Monitor global regulatory changes and assess business impacts.
  • Ensure compliance with product safety, labeling, chemical, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage supplier compliance, product testing, certifications, and Restricted Substances List (RSL) programs.
  • Oversee product quality investigations, corrective actions, and recalls.
  • Develop compliance manuals, policies, SOPs, and regulatory guidance.
  • Deliver compliance training and provide regulatory expertise to internal teams.
  • Review environmental and product marketing claims for regulatory compliance.
  • Manage third-party laboratories, compliance costs, and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Marketing, Product Development, Sourcing, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare compliance metrics, risk assessments, and leadership reports.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Chemistry, Law, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of product compliance management experience, preferably in the apparel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of global product safety regulations and testing standards (REACH, CPSIA, Proposition 65, Oeko-Tex, etc.).
  • Experience developing and implementing compliance strategies and programs.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and supplier compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
