Safety Manager

Job Details

Fleet Safety Manager oversees driver safety, vehicle compliance, and risk management programs for our 27 commercial motor vehicle operations. Core duties typically include:

Compliance
  • Ensuring adherence to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Training & Onboarding
  • Developing and executing safety training programs, defensive driving courses, and orientation for new drivers.
Incident Investigation
  • Investigating accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage, then implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Monitoring & Audits
  • Tracking driver logs, Hours of Service (HOS), electronic logging devices (ELD), and conducting regular vehicle safety audits.
Policy Enforcement
  • Enforcing company safety policies and maintaining safety records, drug-testing programs, and compliance documentation.
