We're seeking a Manager, Transportation Safety to lead the execution of enterprise transportation safety programs within an assigned business unit. This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact by reducing risk, improving compliance, and strengthening our culture of safety across a nationwide operation.

What You'll DoTransportation Safety Leadership
  • Implement and support QXO's enterprise Transportation Safety Program within an assigned business unit.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and other applicable transportation safety regulations.
  • Administer and support programs related to driver qualification, hours-of-service compliance, collision mitigation, and telematics.
  • Monitor transportation safety performance and identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness.
  • Partner with business unit EHS teams to implement new safety processes, technologies, and initiatives.
  • Support organizational change management and adoption of transportation safety best practices.
Operational Excellence
  • Collaborate with Operations, Transportation, Facilities, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and EHS teams to integrate safety into daily operations.
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning.
  • Identify operational risks and recommend effective controls to mitigate exposure.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the field, providing coaching and support to operational leaders and employees.
Training & Safety Culture
  • Deliver transportation safety training and learning programs.
  • Promote safe driving behaviors through communication, coaching, engagement, and recognition.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to field leaders on transportation safety and regulatory requirements.
Data & Continuous Improvement
  • Track and analyze safety performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Utilize telematics, dashboards, and analytics tools to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Support the deployment and adoption of transportation safety technologies, including camera systems, telematics platforms, and digital compliance tools.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to leadership regarding program effectiveness and field needs.
What You'll BringRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation safety, fleet operations, risk reduction, regulatory compliance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and transportation safety regulations.
  • Experience implementing safety programs, policies, or technologies in a field-based environment.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and technology skills with the ability to leverage data to improve performance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHST, CDS, or equivalent.
  • Experience with telematics platforms, fleet safety systems, and compliance technologies.
  • Experience using data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Compensation Range:

$96,000.00 - $149,500.00
