Job Duties

Manage construction documentation by ensuring all correspondence, submittals, RFIs, change requests, and related materials are received, reviewed, tracked, responded to, and properly filed to avoid project delays. Lead the maintenance of project records and documentation systems; process project correspondence and progress payment estimates; and advise project leadership on schedule, cost, and performance status. Support preparation of monthly project status reports for the client, including progress updates, budget tracking, schedule milestones, and risk items. Coordinate with third parties such as utility providers, materials testing laboratories, surveyors, inspectors, and source-inspection agencies. Track quality control and quality assurance activities, review test results, and verify contractor compliance with approved QA/QC plans. Support the Project, Construction, and Commercial Managers in contractor dispute resolution and claims analysis, including research, fact-finding, preparation of position papers, and documentation to support negotiations or dispute resolution. Direct and coordinate engineering activities to ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Perform site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify conformance with design documents, specifications, and safety standards. Act as a project representative, providing technical guidance to management, contractors, and consultants regarding design coordination, construction methods, program modifications, and structural or system repairs. Participate in scope negotiations with design professionals and design-build firms and engage in discussions with regulatory agencies and public stakeholders as required. Manage and oversee construction, operations, and maintenance activities at the project site, ensuring that program requirements are met and deliverables comply with established criteria. Plan, direct, and control technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of assigned projects. Prepare and review quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and feasibility analysis for labor, materials, and equipment; and collaborate with project teams to maintain budgets and schedules. Identify potential cost overruns, delays, or scope changes and work with management to develop and implement corrective action plans. Promote excellence in project execution through consistent application of Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures. Monitor and report project progress, milestones, risks, and conditions that may impact cost or schedule. Organize and participate in regular project meetings to review status, assign action items, and resolve issues. Serve as project manager for tenant or ancillary projects, coordinating design and construction activities with multiple stakeholders. Identify environmental and safety risks and develop mitigation and risk-management strategies for civil and infrastructure projects. Analyze survey data, drawings, blueprints, maps, aerial imagery, and geotechnical information; and evaluate construction processes to identify engineering solutions that reduce environmental impact, including carbon emissions and other pollutants.

Job Requirements

Required Masterโ€™s or foreign equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, Architecture, or any related field + 1 year of experience in the job offered, Construction Engineer, Field Engineer, Civil Engineer or related. Travel may be required to various unanticipated client sites throughout the US. The frequency of travel will be 10-15%
