Position: Project Manager
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Los Angeles,CA/Manassas,VA/Goodyear,AZ
Description
Our Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, overseeing, and directing all assigned projects to ensure high-quality delivery, client satisfaction, and division profitability.
Duties & Scope
  • Team Leadership: Develop and build strong teams for each project; manage, mentor, and develop a group of approximately 3 direct and 10 total reports.
  • Project Execution: Drive division profitability by meeting customer expectations, managing scope, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Technical Oversight: Lead project management technical goals, schedule goals, procurement, and contractual requirements.
  • Strategic Planning: Evaluate and improve departmental systems and processes; adjust priorities and milestones based on resource availability and changing customer needs.
  • Financial Management: Manage the project review process with a heavy emphasis on financial forecasting, invoicing, and negotiating change orders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with customers to validate expectations and provide oversight for third-party construction firms.
  • Communication: Proactively and systematically communicate project challenges, risks, and successes.

Requirements
  • Experience: At least 5 years of project management experience in electrical commercial/mixed-use construction.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of electric power engineering and extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, and contracts.
  • Field Expertise: Direct field experience coordinating with construction management.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated ability to run a profitable portfolio and build relationships to assist in winning projects.
  • Education: Electrical Engineering or Construction Management degrees are strongly preferred; Journeyman or Master Electrician's license is a plus.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical, motivational, and communication skills (both oral and written).
