Project Manager (Wastewater)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and finalize waste and water treatment construction projects focused on instrumentation and control projects involving process controls and industrial construction
  • Coordinate the efforts of team members, subcontractors, and consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes as necessary.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Direct experience in Water/Wastewater section with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction project management within waste and water treatment.
  • Proven experience in managing construction projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and closeout.
  • Proven experience managing projects in instrumentation and control, ideally in process-heavy industries.
  • Prior experience building and maintaining project schedules, as well as forecasting invoicing milestones.
  • The ability to read, interpret and understand project specifications and P&ID’s
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification highly preferred.
