Job description

Residential Project Manager
At Ecotech Solar, we believe in doing right by people-our customers, our coworkers, and our community. We're on a mission to deliver "good energy" and are looking for a leader who thrives on seamless coordination, collaborative teamwork, and delivering on commitments we make to our customers.
The Residential Project Manager functions as the "hub of the wheel" for our residential pipeline. You are the critical interface between our Sales and Design teams and the Field crews who bring those visions to life. If you are energized by pipeline forecasting, effective internal and external coordination, and find satisfaction in leading a high-volume of projects from contract signing to successful interconnection, this is the role for you.
This is a full-time position based in our Bellingham, WA office.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Resi PM serves as the central leadership point for the Residential Project Team, ensuring every project is prepared and completed on time, to scope, and within budget. You aren't just 'doing the work', you are overseeing the health of our residential pipeline and ensuring your team members have exactly what they need to deliver on commitments to our customers.
You'll partner closely with Sales, Design, and Field Leadership to align our labor capacity with our installation forecasting. You'll be the one who anticipates the roadblocks, mitigates the bottlenecks, and ensures the field crews never arrive at a site without the information or materials they need.
You are a master of communication and planning, fielding a high volume of internal and external interactions while maintaining the predictable, high-trust relationships that Ecotech is known for.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Manage the Pipeline: Maintain a high-level pulse on the residential backlog, providing lead-time forecasts and proactively identifying bottlenecks.
  • Lead the Team: Motivate and hold team accountable to complete weekly deliverables that ensure backlog health.
  • Orchestrate Preparation: Ensure all project documentation, permits, equipment and materials are secured before deploying field crews. Maintaining accuracy of CRM along the way.
  • Coordinate the Work: Populate the installation schedule by coordinating with customers and effectively scheduling field crews.
  • Manage External Partners: Act as the primary point of contact for utilities, AHJ's, and vendors.
  • Optimize Operations: Identify efficiency opportunities, manage team KPIs, and refine our standard operating procedures.

WHO YOU ARE
  • A Strategic Thinker: You demonstrate excellent judgment and foresight, especially when coordinating field resources and complex schedules.
  • High-Trust Leader: You excel at building collaborative relationships with field supervisors and resources, recognizing team wins and individual successes.
  • Detail-Obsessed: You maintain an accurate CRM and project files, ensuring every design detail and project scope is thoroughly documented.
  • Process-Minded: You enjoy defining and refining workflows to ensure consistent quality, safety, and customer service.
  • An Expert Communicator: You can accurately establish and manage customer expectations from contract signing to project completion.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Proven experience in project management, leadership, or operations (background in solar or construction trades is highly valued).
  • Confidence using digital tools like CRM systems, calendars, and task managers to keep data up-to-date.
  • The ability to handle a high volume of written and phone communication without losing focus or grace.
  • A "big picture" mindset with the ability to dive into "key project details" when needed.

WHAT ECOTECH SOLAR OFFERS
  • Competitive hourly wage, starting at $35/hr DOE
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance
  • Education, training, and mentorship
  • Opportunity for performance-based bonuses
