As part of the SEO team at Apple, you will be directly responsible for shaping the voice of Apple products in organic search to billions of people. Our SEO presence is an extension of Apple’s marketing - and needs to be at the same level of quality.

This role calls for a hands-on leader who can build and inspire a high-performing team. You know SEO best practices inside and out, and can coach your team to conceive, plan, and deliver complex projects that drive the business forward. Hire, coach, and develop a team of technical SEO program managers, setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and fostering an inclusive culture that supports career growth and diverse perspectives
Define and own the long-term roadmap for technical SEO, AI search, and agentic commerce at Apple, prioritizing the feature backlog and guiding projects from ideation to production with developer teams
Lead cross-functional collaboration with content, marketing, product, and engineering leaders to ensure SEO requirements are integrated into all digital efforts and product launches
Drive the working group that develops shared processes and cross-functional operational standards for future platforms
Oversee monitoring, analysis, and reporting on SEO performance, AI search trends, and agentic commerce developments, making data-driven decisions that inform broader search strategy; champion on-page experience grounded in UX/UI best practices
Manage executive relationships inside Apple - advocating for SEO initiatives, securing headcount and resources - and externally with search engines (Google, Bing) and AI platform providers
Preferred Qualifications
13+ years of experience with SEO preferred
Experience working in the technology and/or e-commerce industry
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages
Experience with emerging standards such as MCP (Model Context Protocol), UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol), APC (Agentic Commerce Protocol), WebMCP, and others
Experience building or scaling an SEO function at a large, matrixed organization
Track record of building diverse, inclusive teams and developing talent into future leaders
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience with SEO for a global brand or digital agency
4+ years of experience directly managing SEO, technical marketing, or program management teams
Experience with AIO / GEO / AEO
Solid experience managing complex and time-critical technical projects
In-depth knowledge of the latest SEO best practices across all significant worldwide search engines
Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Profound, seoClarity, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $195,200 and $293,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
