TITLE: Continuous Improvement Specialist
DIVISION/DEPARTMENT: Warehouse
REPORTS TO: VP of Operations
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Exempt

COMPANY OVERVIEW
C&C Produce has operated the Midwest's Largest Produce Warehouse located in North Kansas City since 1992. We deliver fresh produce to schools, restaurants, grocery stores, distribution centers, and healthcare facilities.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Continuous Improvement Specialist to support operational excellence initiatives across our food distribution network. This role will partner closely with operations, transportation, warehouse, and leadership teams to drive process improvements, increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance service levels. The Continuous Improvement Specialist will support Lean initiatives, analyze operational data, standardize processes, and assist with continuous improvement projects that improve overall business performance. This role will also play a key part in supporting the company’s ERP and WMS implementation and optimization efforts through process mapping, workflow improvements, operational testing, training support, and system alignment initiatives.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives across warehouse, transportation, and operational departments.
  • Analyze operational performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with implementing Lean methodologies, standard work, root cause analysis, and process improvement strategies.
  • Participate in kaizen events, process mapping sessions, audits, and operational reviews.
  • Partner with site leadership and frontline teammates to improve productivity, quality, safety, and service levels.
  • Track and report KPI performance metrics and project progress.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining SOPs, training materials, and process documentation.
  • Help drive a culture focused on accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with the implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of the company’s WMS and ERP systems across operational departments.
  • Support process mapping, workflow standardization, system testing, data validation, and end-user training during WMS and ERP implementation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify operational gaps and ensure ERP processes align with business objectives and operational efficiencies.
  • Help monitor WMS and ERP performance and recommend process improvements to maximize system utilization and operational effectiveness.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in food distribution, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain operations preferred.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 2–5 years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or continuous improvement related roles preferred.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification is a plus.

YEARLY SALARY: $65,000.00-$70,000.00

HOURS: 7:30AM-4:30PM
