Job description

We are currently seeking a Process Engineer for our Amesbury, MA location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Analyze and interpret various plastic/rubber material manufacturing techniques, procedures and processing conditions.
  • Evaluate processing conditions and resultant material properties and troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Assume full responsibility for managing process conditions to meet Process Control Document requirements and mechanical and physical properties.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing process problems and implement corrective measures.
  • Evaluate and provide costing support for new and existing products.
  • Create/manage bills of materials and process plans for multiple resin manufacturing processes to support operations.
  • Develop and implement processing conditions.
  • Provide training as necessary to operations personnel.
  • Develop and execute continuous improvement plans and processes.
  • Write and maintain detailed procedures and specifications.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in any of the following: Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Polymer Chemistry.
  • 1-3 years of industry experience in a manufacturing or product development environment.
  • Ability to evaluate, develop and manage process parameters in the manufacture of products.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance.
  • Current computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated self-starter.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma continuous improvement programs.
  • Green belt certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CAD; Solid Works, Solid Edge, Master Cam.
  • An understanding of dielectric and magnetic properties of materials.

Complete salary range for this role: $68,665 - $117,700
