Your new responsibilities
The Process Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in assistance to the engineering staff in order to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes. The primary focus of this individual will be supporting the Process Engineering team; more specifically, but not limited to, all manufacturing processes for both ceramic and non-ceramic platelet products. They will work closely with engineers to ensure operations run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards in addition to assistance with the qualification and evaluation of new equipment and/or equipment upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to engineers to complete projects and, as needed, support production goals.
  • Equipment and Software Improvements: Collaborate with the Equipment Engineering Team and help to gather and provide data summaries necessary for machine characterization; including, but not limited to, performing or managing GR & R studies.
  • Documentation: Assist in the development of operating procedures and standards. Provide support in the determination of the requirements for preventative maintenance cycles and the identification of recommended spare parts.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct studies to evaluate and/or qualify new processes, enhancements or changes in equipment operation. Provide data in charts, graphs and other useful formats to the engineering staff and other interested persons.
  • Equipment Management: Suggest equipment puchases, modifications, or calibration changes to improve productivity or reduce costs.

What we look for
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field field preferred. In lieu of education, a minimum of (5) years of equivalent experience working with similar manufacturing materials, processes, and related software will be considered.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in software and tools used for data collection and analysis, with the ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety protocols and government regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
